My family absolutely loves Mattone's food! However, as frequently as we order from here, Ashley (take out person who handles phone orders) constantly messes up our order! And when I mean constantly, I mean every time. Please ask for Vito or Frank to place an order. These guys are awesome and trust me their food is great! Even though we had some "order issues" it will not stop us from ordering from here going forward.

Nice to find a sit down restaurant so close to home. Had a wonderful Caesar salad and didn't even have to ask for extra sauce. Nice amount of croutons as well Bread came out with butter and cinnamon butter. Talk bout but buttering your bread on both sides Ordered the chicken parmigiana and my mom ordered the crispy stuffed chicken. Chicken parmigiana had a great sauce and linguini was wonderful, however I didn't find the chicken to have much flavor on its own. The breading was too soggy I tried a small bite of the crispy Stuffed Chicken and wish I had ordered that seemed pretty good. The sauce didn't seem to make the chicken breading soft...on the other hand it was stuffed so it held more juice inside where as my chicken parmigiana was a bit dry. Also ordered the Steamed Mussels. Slightly spice flavor but not to the point you need to reach for the water...right away. It's a nice clean Italian restaurant. I want to come back and try the pizza and pasta

Even though this restaurant is the town where I was born and raised, we had never ventured here. With my birthday coming up, my parents decided to treat me here for a dinner. We didn't know how crowded it would be, and made a reservation for 5pm on Sunday... totally not necessary, at 5pm we were 3 of about 6 people dining. Business did pick up around 6 though, so a reservation might still be advisable later on. Walking up to the restaurant was a little off-putting. Knowing how quiet it was inside the restaurant (after the fact), it seemed strange to note how dirty the entry door was. You could see tons of handprints on the glass! Not a good first impression. Things smoothed out after that. Our server was super kind and efficient. My mom, an avid coffee drinker, was concerned that the server would disappear when the coffee cup was gone, but Crystal, I believe her name was, was on top of things with coffee and soda refills like a hawk! Much appreciated. Bottles of chilled water were given to each table, which was great. Warm, crusty, italian bread came out shortly after being seated with a regular and cinnamon butter. The cinnamon butter was very good, but potentially just a little too sweet. Barely over the line, though. I ordered a rigatoni dish with mushrooms, artichokes, onion and sausage that was FANTASTIC. Surprisingly, the pasta wasn't the number one item in the dish. I felt like I would run out of noodles to pair with the large pieces of other ingredients. Everything tasted so fresh and went together well. My dad ordered the chicken Mattone- a wood fired dish with a huge portion of chicken, peppers,& wood fired potatoes. He proclaimed it "Excellent!", and went home with TWO boxes of leftovers. My mom had the Mattone burger, which had cheese and a bacon jam. She didn't qite realize what bacon jam meant, and wasn't totally a fan of it. I tried it- it was sweet and oniony, kinda grainy in texture. I thought it was interesting, and probably wouldn't mind it on a burger. The burger was large and came with tons of skinny shoe string fries. These were crispy and ok overall. I definitely enjoyed my experience here. I would not hesitate to come back and maybe even book a party.

This is one of my favorite places in town and very possibly my favorite Italian restaurant in general. It doesn't look like much from the outside, in fact when we moved to the area about a year ago I wasn't sold on going the first time we went, but since then we have been back a TON! Every time we have been there the service has been great and I really enjoy the ambiance and decor. If you do delivery from there and spend over $30 they throw in free doughnuts with Nutella and strawberry sauce - soooo good! All the food I have had there is good. All of it. I have yet to be disappointed. My favorite item is the Crispy Stuffed Chicken. Lemon cream sauce on a crispy breaded chicken (doesn't taste greasy or heavy) that is stuffed with risotto and peas on a bed of spinach.... ummmm just thinking about it makes me hungry for it. It's kind of expensive at $17 but you get two huge stuffed breasts and it is plenty for two meals so I am fine paying it. My husband loves their Chicken Lemone. I also really enjoy their ribs, pizza (regular and wood oven), veggie Panini (soooooooo good! even if you are not a vegetarian), chicken parmesan, lasagna, basically all their pasta dishes, and they do a lot of really tasty specials. One of my other favorites when eating in is their brown butter. I can't get enough of it! The portions are large and you always feel full and satisfied. I also had my baby shower here in the small private room. It was a GREAT space for parties and my friend is planning on having her baby shower here as well. Fits around 40 people comfortably with tables for food, gifts, cake, etc. We had cake ordered from Araceli's in La Grange and since they pair with Mattone's there was no cutting fee (also really good bakery!). Again, the food and service was great! I have no negative reviews for it. They were very accommodating and the prices were reasonable. I'm probably going to order food from here this weekend because now I can't stop thinking about it.

I must say- I have never had a bad meal at this place. The lemon chicken is worth ordering. Meatball app is great. Excellent pizza as well. A casual place with nice servers and above average food.

I've been to this interesting place twice and discovered 2 different places...one is a great brick-oven pizzeria with excellent Pizza Margherita (flat, ultra-thin crust with EVOO, mozzarella, basil and tomatoes), and it has a lovely atmosphere with a quasi-sophisticated setting. Its kinda nice, and found the service is very eager to please. The other side? Well, this was unexpected, and a very, VERY nice turn for this up-and comer...I was able to try the Naga Jolokia pepper, (also known as Bhut Jolokia or the Ghost Chili). This is rrated by the Guinness Book as the hottest pepper in the world. OK...when I walk into a place where the joint says that the hot wings are HOT, I have quick interest in the menu entry. I am a FIRM believer that eating ultra-hot things are good for you, because they help me: My breath is deeper, my vision is a little sharper and it helps with other things as well. I have read that in India and Bangladesh, many say that ultra-hot peppers are good for delaying age... I hope so, because the "Ouch" wings at Mattone's are the hottest food I have ever had.

BF and I had recently moved to the area as I work in the area and am no longer able to drive. He wanted to take me out for Valentine's so we decided on Mattone's as our to-try place. Our reservation was for 6:30. I'm almost positive we got out of the car at 6:18 (while a minor detail, this will be important later!). We started with the fried calamari. BF wanted cocktail sauce while I wanted marinara. They charged an extra 75 cents for both sauces but it wasn't a big deal. While we waited for the app, waitress came by and told us about the specials. The calamari was very good. It wasn't tough or gummy as calamari can get. There wasn't an excess of tentacles like you get some places. 6:40 and our plates are brought to the table. What?!?!? It's Valentine's day. We have maybe been in the place for 20 minutes, eaten an appetizer, and now our plates are already at the table?!?!?!?! This kind of service is out of control! BF had the pork chop special. I don't eat pig so I can't really comment but he said "You ordered better. You always do. You need to start ordering for me." I ordered the Rotolo special. It was a thin tri-color pasta with a ricotta and spinach mixture rolled similar to a cake roll then sliced topped with a vodka sauce. My only complaint about this special is that they topped it with an excessive amount of Parmesan that took away from the flavor of the vodka sauce. One warning. The space is fairly open and can get fairly loud. If you cannot handle loud spaces very well, this is not an ideal place for you to go.

Mattone Reastaurant & Bar 9 E. 31st street LaGrange Park I ordered the Crispy Stuffed Chicken w/lemon sautéed spinach / side of Meatballs. The food was cooked very, well hot and tasted ok; the meatballs were ok but too soft for me. I had Mussels they were ok as well some were not opened. Mattone's brick oven .....what I didn't like ,the guy that was working the oven would put the pizzas stick the part that go's inside the oven he would put it on the floor instead of hanging it. The server was pleasant the place looked clean just not for me.

Gave it yet another try! Soooo many pissed off patrons @ the bar!!! Owners Alert! You need a dedicated bartender for restaurant floor drinks. Everyone at the bar was pissed because of the poor service.

I think my review would be better if I had the opportunity to sit in the main restaurant. However, when I visited Mattone's, I was seated in the "party room" for an event. The ambiance was very dull. White table cloths, and beige walls! There was nothing festive and it's the holiday season! The pizza was good, but nothing special. The brushetta was solid too. Service was okay, although I had to wait often for my water glass to be filled (but I drink more water than the average person :-/). My overall impression of the place was solid italian food but nothing special.

Update! I've had my bridal shower here as well as my husbands surprise 30th bday & I was BEYOND happy with both events. For my shower we had the entire restaurant area to ourselves. Now I might be biased, but the food chosen for my shower was the the best bridal shower food I've ever had. You know how food at events like that are usually bland or blah? Well this was honestly delicious and tasty, and our guests had nothing but great things to say! (And we all know how picky a large group of women can be lol). Each lady had their own tiramisu for dessert- honest to god it's the best tiramisu I've ever had. And the sweet waitresses always made sure I had a full glass of wine, which came in handy while opening up all those gifts :) My husbands surprise 30th was awesome too-thanks to Vito, who is great to work with. We had the large hall located down the stairs, open bar with salad, pizza, & pasta. (They have some of the best pizza in the area here). Vito let me decorate however I wanted to (turned it into a golf theme since the husband is a golfer), and it was totally cool to bring in a cake from an outside bakery. Thank you Mattone! I know we will be back for our next happy life event :)

My wife & I come often the food is great and so is the service. But really ticks me off is if you order a family size pizzas give you a free liter of either Pepsi or Diet Pepsi, with no option for non-caffeine, and you can't even buy soda non-caffeine. Obviously the chef or the owners don't care to give the delivery or pick up customers an option. You can have any soda as long as it's Pepsi! I'll change my star rating when you bring in Mist soda.

I tried there Chicago style pizza and real good! The crust melted in your mouth the sauce was not acidity and mild probably the best pizza in that area you can get. Can't wait to try there stuffed pizza.

Been coming here regularly since it opened. Gotta say it has gone from 2 to 4 stars in 3 years. Progressively better menu and food prep. The entrees and plentiful. Would get 5 stars but portion size is still a bit "quantity over quality". We often eat in the bar area and Becca is worth 10 stars! Chopped salad is great. Apps are all good. Crispy chicken is really really good. Pasta and sauces are standard. Good but standard. Wood fired pizza in general is overrated. Cool to have the oven in the middle of the restaurant but I don't go there for pizza. Their pizza for delivery is one of the best in the area. Good crust sauce and sausage. No beer tap and bottle selection is weak. Starting to need a refresh. I'd recommend some more seafood items. Oysters would be awesome. More fish dishes. Not just salmon on a plank (btw, no longer a unique menu item).

Drinks were great, food was delicious, service was awesome. The lights are dimmed with soft music. I would say this is a nice place for a date rather than a family dinner, although both are welcome. I went with my family. Going to take my boyfriend soon. :)

I have to admit, I've driven by the Mattone building countless times since moving to the near west 'burbs back in 2005 and never thought about stopping in. We had our go-to Italian places all over the metro area and this one didn't seem particularly special from the outside and looked as though the tiny sliver of a parking lot alongside the building would be a pain. Boy were we wrong. One Saturday evening, after dropping our son off at the Y down the street for Kids' Night Out, we decided to avoid downtown Lagrange parking and give Mattone a try. First off, there's plenty of parking in the back, so no worries there. Once we entered the dining room, it seemed like a standard suburban place, although the wood oven in the center of the room immediately got our attention. One bite of the margherita pizza that came out of that oven and we were sold. Also tried the spinach con uova and now I dream about it. When we take friends, we order pizza and other dishes to share and have never been disappointed. Add to that a super-friendly and helpful waitstaff and they've earned us as customers for life. Long live Mattone!

Was at Brookfield Zoo for light festival and didn't want to eat at zoo. 9 of us were hungry and saw this authentic restaurant was close-by. We did an open table reservation and they seated us quickly and food was good. Ambiance was great for accommodating kids. Nice and clean place.

Very solid Italian Restaurant. Thank you yelpers for helping me find this little piece of Italian heaven. This is truly a "don't judge a book by it's cover" restaurant. The facade of the restaurant IMO is pretty awful. If I didn't read reviews on it, I never would come here to eat. It's not very inviting, but at least they have ample parking. The inside is nice, they could use more booths to up the "romantic atmosphere" a bit. I personally prefer a booth and I think I only saw 2 of them. Tables are also placed pretty close to one another. You aren't sitting on top of each other, but it's a little too close for comfort for me. My hubby ordered the caprese spaghetti and i ordered the margherita pizza. Both were absolutely delicious, fresh, basically a yummy piece of Italian heaven in your mouth. The mozzarella was super fresh and the dough for the pizza was fantastic. It's fun watching the pizza guy spin the dough by hand in the air. Service was good, food takes longer to come out then what I am typically used to, but I am sure it's because it's made to order, and the wait is worth it. I am having a big group dinner here prior to the marathon to carb load. I hope they are able to handle a big group on a Saturday night. Update to come!!

Brick oven pizza is soggy. Very disappointing. They tend to have very large portions of medium quality. Environment when dining in is nice, however the to go service has some problems. I used the ordering online and the order took longer than the suggested time. I was told it was because their system was down, so I am not sure if it is reliable. People working were condescending. I got angry with them. Made a bad experience. After being customer since before the remodel/rename, I won't be back.

From the outside I got the feeling this was the kind of place the folks would go for a 4 o'clock dinner. A long wooded ADA approved ramp along with the plain worn exterior gave me that impression. But once inside I had a completely different reaction. It was modern yet rustic with an open wood fire and lots of highlighted stone and steel wall detail. The lighting cast a yellow glow making me feel cozy and warm all over despite the cold outside. We were seated right away and a had complementary bread and cinnamon butter at our table moments later. I'm not a big bread a butter fan, but when you put cinnamon in butter I'm all over it. We started with a chop salad. It was a pretty basic chop salad, in this case simple was a great thing. The dressing was amazing. Perfect blend of oil, vinegar and seasoning. The hubs and I shared the El Mattone Neapolitan pizza (sausage, red peppers, red onions, oregano and mozzarella). I loved the crust, it's light and thin yet soft and little chewy. Each item we ordered was simply delicious with a little extra flare that took it from ordinary to extraordinary.

Attended a large luncheon here (about 125 guests). We had the entire downstairs, plus a table upstairs since there was no elevator to get some of our guests downstairs - a bit of a bummer since they do have a nice ADA ramp. Food was GREAT! We had a family style lunch; the bread was baked fresh. The salad was delightful. For lunch itself, we had chicken and large potato wedges (so good our table asked for more), baked fish, and roasted veggies. Dessert was a small (2 tablespoon) scoop of vanilla ice cream and good coffee. Service was a bit spotty as half our table was served salads; then another ten minutes before the others came. Additionally, other tables received coffee, but it took our servers 15 minutes to bring some to us. They were apologetic and polite about it though - so we really weren't too upset. Overall, great food, nice atmosphere. If I lived in the area, I'd be back for another meal here!!

Like others have said, the outside doesn't look like much but the inside it so nice! Love the cozy atmosphere with the dim lights and the big open wooding burning oven in the middle. It's never super crowded but there was a groupon for this place recently so hopefully more people will find this great place. Our server the first time was really nice and the second time the woman who served us wasn't too friendly. But overall the service was pretty good. The food is always really delicious. I have have the risotto with sausage and the Mattone's roasted chicken is delicious. They also have some unique pizzas and traditional Italian fare. The big negative for us was only bottled beer. Boo.

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. The stuffed chicken is delicious and will leave you wanting more. Vito and staff have this place locked in and Mattones is a must stop if you're in the area. Keep up the good work and I'll be back for sure.

We hosted a funeral luncheon here on Saturday, and we packed the dining room and bar area (they're closed for lunch - only open for private parties then). Service was impeccable. As busy as they were, the staff was friendly and very responsive. We had previewed the menu we chose and were very happy with the results. We had many compliments on the food and we loved it, too (pasta, beef, chicken limone). The minestrone soup was outstanding. We didn't feel rushed, as we had the whole place to ourselves, and could visit for hours. Thanks, Mattone!

  • Brenda Lee J.

I've now ordered for delivery a couple of times. The chicken limone is really good. The chicken is moist but not soggy, perfectly flavored to my liking. The only thing I would recommend is a bit more linguine included in the takeout portion. I found myself with plenty of chicken leftover and no accompaniment to relive the tasty experience. I also love their arugula salad, with cherry tomatoes and Gorgonzola cheese, topped in a balsamic dressing. A bit much on the cheese but they can always be pushed aside. Mattone is a solid four stars for me, and I look forward to trying even more from their menu.

Wood-fired pizza had a crispy crust but lacked flavor. Very skimpy with the toppings ..... not worth the cost. Pasta was mediocre and way overpriced. Not going back.

We visited Mattone last evening for the first time and it was excellent. We had visited this location many times when it was D's Little Italy but the updated decor and diverse menu are quite an improvement from those days. We had the Chopped Salad after reading many recommendations and it was outstanding. Great flavors and plenty for four people to share before our entrees. We had three pasta dishes and the Prime Rib Sandwich and all were tasty and plentiful - the portions are huge and enough to have leftovers. I had the Orecciette Capra - so delicious and loaded with Chicken with a delicate tomato cream sauce and the pasta was done perfectly! The wine list had a nice selection to choose from and all the prices were very reasonable. The service was attentive. The only drawback from our visit was the temp in the main dining room - it had to be 80+ degrees in there. It was one of the hottest days on record outside but I'm sure the huge pizza oven in the center of the room didn't help. We probably would have stayed longer and enjoyed a dessert and coffee but we were too uncomfortable - we'll try to do that during our next visit. We will return to Mattone for a great, affordable meal!

Best Italian restaurant in town! I've tried almost everything on the menu and never ever leave disappointed. Decent bar and by far the most excellent Italian food you could get your hands on. Also, their catering is just as good as sitting down in the restaurant. Can't go wrong going here.

Hidden gem for our sleepy little town. From pizza to pasta to sandwiches, everything is flavorful and fresh. The crispy chicken can feed two or wrap up half for dinner tomorrow. They offer a hand tossed brick oven pizza or your traditional thin crust pizza, either one will satisfy your pizza craving. Leave room for dessert, the Nutella pie should not be missed, it will be highlight for any chocolate lover!

From the outside looking in, the place looks like nothing special. From the inside looking out, you don't know what you're missing. Inside Mattone is a classic modern Italian restaurant serving traditional simple dishes in large portions made to perfection. I don't know how many places I looked through before I settled on Mattone as the place for date night but I can tell you it took some time and as always yelp did not let me down. However, my fellow yelpers failed to mention that the crowd that frequents Mattone's is 40 and over, as I am positive we were the only twenty-something couple in the restaurant on a Friday night. Additionally, be sure to make a reservation as the place is popular and there are only so many booths. Yet, if you forget to call ahead, you can wait at the bar and grab a glass of wine while you wait to be seated at your table. Now for the meal. We ordered a bottle of wine (Simi Sauvignon Blanc) that was excellent and accompanied our meal well. We started off with the Caprese Bruschetta. The mozzarella was perfectly matched with tomatoes and fresh herbs to leave a light fresh taste in your mouth. The bread was lightly toasted and there was just the right amount of balsamic syrup to complete the dish. It was so good, I wished there was more than just five pieces. For our entrée's I ordered the chicken limon, pan seared in a white wine and lemon butter sauce served on a bed of pasta and he ordered the Crispy Stuffed Chicken stuffed with risotto, peas, cheese in a lemon cream sauce and served over a bed of sautéed spinach. We both liked our dishes; nothing over the top magnificent worth mentioning but the portion size was HUGE. We both got two full sized chicken breasts, which was more than I could eat in one meal. Luckily leftovers were just as great the second day. Service was great as well. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and helpful. We asked for advice on where to grab a nightcap and he turned out to give us a great recommendation.

Yummy. Service was ok, not great but not bad but we weren't in hurry so was ok. Warm, relaxing inside. not bright light and you get to the brick oven that they make their home mad pizzas in. The brick oven is just right. Little crispy around edge and perfectly cooked. Love all their different pastas. Fresh ingredients and many choices.

We had such a good experience here a couple weeks ago, that I just had to update my review. It was the day after the big storm, and our power was out. All the food in our fridge was dunzo, and we wanted to find something nearby, with power. We were able to charge our phones while we were there, which was nice. We started with bruschetta and clams, and then decided on the caprese wood fired pizza. This pizza, oh my god. I couldn't stop eating it. There is just something about a wood fired pizza straight from the oven - the cool thing was seeing them actually take it out of the oven and bringing it right to our table! The crust was perfectly crispy, there was just the right amount of cheese - I legit dream about this pizza at night. We decided to go with the nutella pie for dessert - and then I was very sad to learn that they had just used the last of their pizza dough for someones pizza order - we were there pretty late, and they were pretty busy with other people who also were experiencing outages! The general manager, Vito, came over to tell us the sad news - but offered to have something else made that would be equally amazing. They did not disappoint! Little profiteroles smeared with nutella, with chocolate gelato sandwiched inbetween, and topped with a raspberry coulis. AWESOME! Totally made my night. Thanks Mattone & Vito for making our night without power a great experience!

Best brick oven pizza in the area ! So shocked by the bad reviews about service because the five times I have been here - EVERY single server has been OUTSTANDING as well as the hostess and bus staff! Just met with my BFFS for our monthly dinner on Sunday night and each of us loved our food very much ! I love that you get a pitcher of water left on the table, never sure why every restaurant doesn't do the same! Also, we never felt rushed and were left to talk as long as we wanted ! The brick oven pizza is my favorite, it is just soo good ! I tried the gnocchi but it was only ok, Marconi and Ignotz are still my fav for the best gnocchi I have tried ! I will stick to the pizza here ! The donuts for dessert were delicious and I was so glad we finally tried them!

Crispy calamari appetizer is excellent! Had the calzone which was tonight's special, very good! Lasagna very good ! Never received a wine list. Does take an extremely long time to have drinks served! Waitress was very good, but the bus boys do seem overworked and angry! But, I don't nor do you go to a restaurant because of the bus boys. The original "Johnny's" at this spot was a special Italian restaurant. When they sold it and it became D's Little Italy it went downhill as fast as an Olympic skier. How it even managed to stay open was probably due to 2 factors, the real estate market and the fabulous resurgence of downtown LaGrange. The food was great and the pizza excellent. However, I've been reading comments about the hostess here forever. She must be family or she'd have been gone a few years ago. That and sporadic service alone has driven more people a mile south into downtown LaGrange where the restaurant choices - especially Italian - are some of the best and reasonably priced around. I'd eat here again, but with lower expectations. Word travels fast and with the competition of a fresh, alive and "hip" downtown LaGrange business and restaurant district, they better get their act together. The lower level is a good spot with easy parking for luncheons and banquet dinners. But make sure they know in advance you're skeptical of their service.

Fantastic - would definitely go back (especially on a Tuesday for half-priced wine!). My boyfriend and I went in a little late (45 minutes before close) and the wait staff was patient with us and never showed any annoyance, which was nice. We ordered the caprese bruchetta and were immediately sold - I would highly recommend it. We were further blown away by the entrees. I ordered the special of the night that came with large, tasty shrimp tossed in just enough olive oil and heavenly bread crumbs, all laid out on perfectly cooked pasta. My boyfriend loved the tortellini dish he ordered. The portion sizes were very large too - I ended up taking half of mine home. Warm atmosphere, great service, and tasty menu.

Really good atmosphere and service. However, not crazy about the sweet butter they serve with the warm bread. I had the caprese sandwich and the sandwich tasted like this damn sweet butter too! There was no taste of balsamic just the sweet butter! I've had the pizza and caprese salad when I ordered from this place and it was terrific. "A" for effort but PLEASE just stop with the sweet butter!

For a generation, this building housed D's Little Italy. An old school italian restaurant with a bar on one side and a dining area on the other. The dining area had lace tablecloth's, nice china and that "fine dining" atmosphere that the older folks love. They even have an inclined walkway so that the wheelchair bound or those with walkers can make it into the place. Myself? I just ordered take-out by phone and picked it up in the pick up area out back. Well, the son of the owner took over and I guess he felt like the customer base was dying (literally). So he shut the place down for a while and gave it a complete makeover. Now instead of white tablecloths and glistening crystal, the inside now features open space, dark wood and modern art. They put in a wood fired oven in the center of the area so they can make wood fired pizza. Menu has also been made over, more contemporary, lighter fare now accompany the basic dishes they've always served. My date and I arrived around 8:00 pm on a Friday and we found the place almost full. Our choices were a table next to the wood fired oven or in the bar area. We choose the bar area as the other table was in a major line of traffic, like being next to the door to the kitchen. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the Mattone's chopped salad, my date ordered grilled calimari and wood fired pizza. We were presented with a complimentary small loaf of bread with butter that had been infused with cinnamon. Only bad part about eating at the bar was with the three television screens going and some alcohol fueled neighbors, it did get pretty loud at times, but hey, it's Friday night. Gotta cut loose somewhere! Calimari was very good, grilled over a flame and infused with a viniagrette dressing. I am not a calimari fan but this stuff was good. Mushrooms were stuffed with parmesan cheese, bacon, spinach and covered with a creamy sauce. There were 6 to an order and they were really tasty. Chopped salad was outstanding, embellished with chopped salami, hearts of palm, cheese, black olives and other goodies and dressed with house dressing. This salad was outstanding. We shared the wood fired pizza and we kept it simple, it was a cheese pizza, very good with just the right amount of cheese. Mattone also has what appears to be a wine list and dessert list. Wine is wasted on me, I couldn't tell french champagne from MD 20 20 and I generally don't do desserts so I couldn't tell you much about that. Mattone still makes some of the old D's Little Italy dishes if you have an old favorite. They also have a take out room in back featuring the old classic D''s Little Italy PIzza. Only thing I really miss are the basil, zucchini and pepper plants the old man used to plant out front.

Yum! Our first time here, and we decided to try something new to us - Spinachi Uova Neapolitan pizza (tons of spinach with a soft-cooked egg on top!). The wood-fired pizza was delicious! I was not a huge fan of the egg, but that's simply because I like my eggs overdone, ha ha. Everything else about the pizza was great. We also had the Bruschetta Caprese on suggestion of the waiter, and it was great. Generous slices of fresh mozzarella. And the grilled Caesar salad was DIVINE. I'm going to grill all of my romaine lettuce from now on! Plus the dressing was delicious. Glad to have a good Neapolitan pizza place not to far from home, we'll be back. It was quite busy (7pm on a Friday night) so I would make sure to call for reservations.

one word...DISAPPOINTED! Disappointed i didn't come here sooner! this place has been open now for at least a year and i never bothered to go. There are so many italian places in the neighborhood, that it never seemed to make sense. But then, i got my groupon. did i tell you how much i love groupon? almost as much as yelp!! anyways, we went. and it was delicious. not cheap though. our total bill came out well over $100 and we didn't order any drinks. but i guess, we did order a lot. my little family of two children and me and my old man, ordered a pizza with two ingredients, arancini, calamari, my husband ordered the grilled skirt steak and i the panko tilapia, and two little cups of minestrone. the service was pleasant, but very very slow. not sure why it took so long to get our stuff. we were in there over an hour, not great when you have little kids. but the food was delicious and the bread spread was fun. i saw the reviews from other folks complaining about the sweetness, so maybe i was prepared. i'll def go back.

Great food, but the hostess almost seated us next to the bathroom AND kitchen! She said it was because of all the Groupons. We didn't have a Groupon and we were going to pay full price. Luckily, the young woman decided to seat us somewhere else. Otherwise, we intended to leave. Nice atmosphere and great food. Would dine again. 8/10

I've been dying to try this place for awhile since it re-opened, formerly D's Little Italy. I could practically walk here and had been to more banquets when it was D's then I care to remember. Although I was eager to see the new incarnation of this spot, I still had the memory of bland potato wedges and tasteless Italian sausage from D's. Nope. Nothing like that here. The oven-baked pizza is exactly as how it tastes in the town that my dad grew up in Italy. Mind you, their prices went up, and the wood-oven fired pizza is also traditionally Italian in its size - about 9 inches. If you order larger pizza here, it will be American-style and not from that wood oven. So good...definitely worth whatever drive you have to make to the near-western burbs.

This was our third and last time here. If this place had hidden cameras to see the staff whose moral was low and a Manager who looked like he didn't have a clue, it would have made for good TV on Restaurant Stakeout. We walked in and what appeared to be host or manager never even said hello. We stood dumfounded for a moment or three and after noticing the dining was near capacity decided it best if we seat ourselves at the bar where only two other people were seated. As we sat and watched the bartender fill drinks and wait on tables, after 10 minutes we decided to ask for a drink. We sat at the bar for another 10 minutes and never received any menus. We finally decided to finish our drink and asked for our bill. The bartender placed our bill on the bar and never even said thank you. The service was horrible, the manager didn't have a clue and we will never go there again.

4.5 stars I tried this based on a yelp review and I'm sure glad I did. The thin crust is one of the best especially for the price. Thick layer of cheese. Sauce is flavorful. The pepperoni is very thinly cut, which I prefer. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The brick oven pizza is a completely different thing. Also delicious, but the sauce is much more of a tomato flavoring...almost a vodka sauce. It's also excellent, but as I usually pick this up to go, it probably would get very soggy by the time I made it home. If you can dine in, get the brick oven pizza. Service is great. Parking lot makes it easy. Prices are very reasonable. If you're out that way, definitely worth trying.

An unplanned visit resulted in an awesome dining experience! Good prices, friendly, helpful service provided by Alyssa added to our wonderful time. But the proof of any good restaurant is their menu & chef. Jason knows how to cook and provides a standard menu along with some interesting items. Try the grilled skirt steak, crispy chicken and risotto, all very delicious. Jason could not have been more accommodating. Since this was our first visit, we were curious about the wood burning oven pizza's so he made a custom pizza for us to try. This is a chef who wants return customer's and we'll be back very soon! Thanks Jason & Alyssa for a great night.

The first thing I thought after my first meal there: "Why isn't it packed in here? This food is off the chain!" Mandatory appetizer is either one of their calamari options, don't forget to ask for extra lemon. The Fettuccini Pazzo is absolutely divine. Hats off to the cook. For dessert, the tiramisu is just elegant. From the sip of water, to the surprisingly good late afternoon coffee, the appetizer, and all of your food and dessert, I can recommend them with no hesitation to anyone who enjoys good Italian food. The food is never greasy, never too hot, always just right, and I've been here a lot. Go yourself and enjoy! Bring a few friends!

My kids took me here for Mother's Day and I was very pleased. My future son-in-law had the Salmon and he said it was the best he has ever eaten hands down. My son and I had their pizza - OMG - to die for. The food is moderately priced - not over the top at all. Our waitress was as sweet as pie and very helpful. Excellent food

Let me start out by saying the customer service here was good. That is the only reason for two stars. We were all treated very nicely. The food however not up to par at all. We got two different kinds of their pizza - no good -- both were almost gooey, like under cooked and was OVER seasoned with a massive amount of basil in both of our pizzas - one was suppose to have basil -- the other was not. But both were inedible. We ate about two pieces and threw out the rest. Both had a strange taste. Another thing that bothered me is that we had never been here before, we did not know how big these pizzas were, it was assumed that being next to the entrees that they were for a single person. The waitress I feel really should have said something when two young adults were ordering two large pizzas. Whatever our mistake. We also got the eggplant parm which was very dry and had a bland also strange taste. Our bill was $40something for food none of us enjoyed. Over all I am disappointed with my trip to Mattone. I had high expectations and left disappointed. I hope that we just went there on an off day because I feel this restaurant has major potential.

Sat at the bar. Had drinks and decided to have a could appetizers. Ordered thee "famous" brick oven pizza. Great idea but needs some work. It was soggy and not much cheese (the cheese thing is a preference so if you don't like a lot of cheese you still won't like the soggy crust. When the bartender told us to fold the slices to eat them I was immediately deflated. Every brick oven pizza I've ever had was crispy crust. If mattones is going for soggy they nailed it! We also tried their famous donuts......excellent!! Drinks were good, service was nice. Restaurant had a nice crowd for early on a week night. Gotta go back and have dinner

My mom and I went to this place on a Thursday night around 8 and it was pretty busy for late on a weekday evening. What made it even busier was that there was only one server on, so needless to say it was a bit of a wait for us to get our drinks. It was worth the wait for the wine- it was delicious. They have a decent size wine list. When we ordered our food we were informed that they were out of dough for the stone fired pizza, which was pretty disappointing. So we got the chopped salad and stuffed mushrooms instead. The chopped salad is amazing! I will go back for the salad alone. The mushrooms, not so much. They were sort of weird....too sweet, and the sauce had a funny taste to it. I would love to go back to try the pizza, assuming they have.some dough in stock.

I ordered their half-pound cheeseburger and Italian beef sandwich as well as a cannoli. Disgusting lack of quality for the food. Burger ordered medium was burnt on both sides and cooked to death. Absolutely no flavor in the burger besides tasting the black grill, which was also served in a sub roll? The beef sandwich was a sub roll and nothing but beef inside. Apparently next time I want Mattone's I'll just grab some bread and some meat and take $10 for it. Never again. Even the cannoli was sub-par. To anyone who never has tried a cannoli they would not try one again if this was their first.

Went on a Sunday at 5pm. It was maybe half full. It took close to ten minutes before our waitress came to our table. We never got told the specials and only realized this after we heard her telling the other tables (after we already ordered). I ordered the eggplant parm and my husband the gnocchi. The eggplant did not come with pasta. The only reason I questioned it is because it is listed on the menu under pastas. The waitress said everyone says that, and I could order a side of pasta if I wanted. I was not going to pay extra when it was already $13. I will say that they could tell I was annoyed and brought me a complimentary side of pasta. Both dishes were just average. I would say service was below average. The only time we saw our waitress was to order, get our food, and pay. We will not go back.

Food was great!!! Waitress was very nice. Had the brick oven pizza and it was great. Fried calamari was good and priced well. The only complaint was that the restaurant was very cold. My girlfriend literally had to use my jacket as a blanket. This is the only reason I did not provide a 5 star review.

My wife had the lasagna and I had the chicken parmesan. She declared the lasagna was the best she's had. The chicken parmesan was good but not great. You could taste the cooking oil in the chicken. Everything was plentiful. The desserts were huge. The service was somewhat slow. Our waitress never mentioned any of the specials, but made an extra effort talking about them to the table next to us. The price is up there but in line with a typical Italian restaurant. The dining room was nice and open, and they seemed to be busy. We were seated near the hostess and nobody had to wait more than a couple minutes. The atmosphere is casual. I will go back. Next time I will try the brick oven pizza, and I'd definitely try the chicken parmesan again.

After seeing good online reviews, I took my wife there for Valentine's Day hoping that it would be as good as what I read... I was THOROUGHLY pleased with the whole experience. Our service was great, the ambiance was great, and the food was phenomenal. I will definitely be going there again!

FOUR and a half stars for the pizza. For a year since the old John's Pizza on Ogden closed its doors I've had to listen to my husband lamenting over the demise of his favorite thin crust pizza. Well, last night he said he found John's replacement. Thin crust, not too thin, (he said) tasty sauce, very non-greasy presentation. Quality meats and veggies. Yup he's found his new take-out pizza. Thanks.

I have been there just once and i found the place expensive and food not at all good. Service was excellent. Need to try the place two more times before I express my final opinion. My Pizza which everyone here appreciated so much was burnt and I had hard time eating it. D

Thank you Yelpers! Without you I wouldn't have tried this mattone! I couldn't be happier with my dining experience! It is getting harder and harder to find good service these days, but Mattone did not disappoint. Our server was there every time we need him. I would say their claim to fame is their wood fired oven. It's right in the middle of the restaurant. We got a seat right next to the oven, so we got to watch the action. I got the Mattone pizza. It was awesome! My wife got a chicken sandwich that they cooked in the pizza oven, and it was so good! We finished with the Nutella Pie. I was basically a house made bread with Nutella in it! WOW WAS IT GOOD! Don't skip it! Mattone you are in the rotation!!!!!

We ordered pizza for pick up the other night and it was a great experience all around. The girl that answered the phone not only identified herself but was very polite and patient. There was no sense of rush like other pizza places that treat you like they are doing you a favor by even answering the phone. We ordered a simple thin crust half sausage and half spinach pizza with extra sauce. It was very good. The spinach tasted fresh, the sausage was plentiful, and the sauce was on the sweet side. It might be a little lazy of us to not eat at the restaurant considering we live less than a mile away but based on this experience alone, we'll make sure to stop in soon and try what else they have to offer.

The restaurant formerly known as D's Little Italy. Newly remodeled place with amazing quality food that is reminiscent of Nona's kitchen. If I had a Nona, called her that, and I were Italian.... Great Italian comfort food with a few non traditional items such as these incredible "ogre skins!" They are like an inside out potato skin that is unbelievably tasty. Why didn't I think of potato skins wrapped in bacon and dipped in accouterments like sour cream? (Right now you can stuff your face on half priced apps by mentioning YELP to the manager and server on duty) Portions are hearty and the "gravy" is on par to any Italian Grammies! A definite place to go for any brick oven fired pizza's, sandwiches, and killer lasagna! Yums! My mouth is water just thinking about digging into a hefty stack of noodley goodness! Bottom Line - GO! Its not some chain Italian rip off joint. Food and service is great - plus you get a lot of bang for your buck. A+

From the outside, you would never know......how wonderful this place really is. We started with salads and then had pasta dishes. Our server was the best. He was very nice and attentive. The hostess was probably having a bad day so we won't talk about her. She should have stayed home today.

Well, this was our Italian family eater for many years when it used to be D's Little Italy and that is part of the reason why I still frequent this palce. There are a few things I miss from the old days, the family homemade wine and the owners hospitality who were always there. But the new program is solid. Primarily thanks to the wood burning oven. Finally we can find a good neopolitan style pizza in the suburbs. Since the change I've only had dishes from the wood burning oven which have all been great. But why do they serve a sweet brown butter with their homemade bread? Once again another boring corporate wine list (I sure miss D's homemade zinfandel) check it out for the pizza and chicken alla mattone.

Wow! Absolutely delicious! Had calamari, rice ball stuffed with meat, cheese, and peas for apps. My daughter had the wood-fired pizza and loved it. My husband had the lasagna, I had the eggplant parm. We all loved everything. Had lots of leftovers. They had a $3.00 per glass Chardonnay special it was so good. We are definitely coming back soon. Our waitress was fabulous as well. She did not rush us on a Friday night.

I liked Mattone better than my husband did - he thought it was just "ok". We started off with grilled calamari, yum. I had chicken over spinach, can't recall the name of it but it was excellent! Our waitress, Crystal, was attentive and efficient. We have been here with the family too, pizza is very good from their wood oven. Give it a try if you are in the neighborhood - the decor is nice, it's a relaxing place.

Good suburban comfort Italian food. Nice wine list, not too expensive. Pizza is pretty good - tried the Neopolitan-style - just ok. Risotto was good. Pork chops - excellent - panko crusted, deep fried, super juicy. Skirt steak - very good. Service was attentive. Ambience is bustling, sort of cafeteria-like. There's a large bar area and there is live music on weekends.

You can't go wrong here no matter what you order. The food is fantastic, the service is great (with friendly helpful servers that are always smiling) and be sure to watch them cook pizzas in the true fire oven in the center of the room. I would recommend them to anyone and they are easy to find (right by LaGrange Rd & 31st St.). If you spend the day at Brookfield Zoo with your family you really should stop here to eat afterwards.

My wife and I frequent the place as often as we can and we love everything about the place. We start with the bread and the excellent flavored butter that I cannot stop eating. I always have such a hard time making up my mind on what to order I want to try everything and each time I try something new I want it again next time. Each time we order the specials we are always so delighted with the fabulous flavors. We ate their last on 2/12 and I had the Ravioli special with a vodka sauce that had artichoke hearts and fresh tomoatoes in it, this was to die for good I enjoyed every bite. My wife got the Filet Mignon Vesuvio style - OMG that was melt in your mouth good the steak truly was cooked to perfection. The Chef is a great guy always coming out to say Hello and checking in with his guests the friendliness carries throughout the enitre staff. Woodfire Pizza is so very good is how pizza was first made in the old country. I wish I could have the Nutella Pie all the time and the Espresso tastes like I am in Italy. I can't wait until we go back :)

we like what they've done with the place. nice decor. friendly wait staff. and pretty good food - certainly good portions. we each had enough to bring home for another meal. the prices seemed a little high. otherwise, i would see ourselves going back. there wood fired pizza looks really good, but none of us ordered it so i can't confirm.

Whether you want a romantic dinner for two -- a girls night out, with of course, some Vino -- or simply, just a spot to relax and throw back some beers while watching your favorite Chicago sports games -- Mattone is the place to go!! The ambience, the AMAZING wood fired oven pizzas (the Caramelized Red Onions & Gorgonzola is to die for!!), the great service and the diverse menu makes this place unbeatable, especially in the burbs! It's trendy, fresh and captivates the traditional Italian menu while adding a few American items along with the modern day rustic feel to the restaurant. Oh..And it's affordable -- now what can be better than that?? Two thumbs up for sure!!

My family and I just went here to celebrate my brother's birthday. The renovation re-boot is really nice; all in warm tones and low lighting so it's really inviting. Not being particularly hungry, I ordered the grilled chicken caesar salad from the chef's recommendation. The chicken is not the only thing that is grilled, they grill the whole head of romaine and top it with sliced chicken, croutons, drizzled with excellent dressing, and dust it with parm. Grilling it gave it a yummy unique taste. I was getting a tad concerned as I cut my way further into the lettuce, but to my great surprise, there was dressing in between the leaves as well. Without a doubt the best salad I ever had. The rest of my family's choices ranged from skirt steak, risotto, orange roughy, and two plates of chicken. They all were immensely pleased with their dishes. So next time I go there I will definitely try something different, and I'm sure it's going to be good, esp since they made a run of the mill caesar salad that interesting. P.S. the owner and the chef are really and truly very nice guys.

Well, I think "surprising" would sum up our experience at Mattone. My partner and I had been to D's Littly Italy several times since we moved into the area and we were excited about the changes we were hearing about the new restaurant. And just so you know... I had a Nana and even a Great Grandma and some times when I am at Italian restaurants I can still them sitting next to me and saying "I can make this at home for 32 cents." However, I think I can still be impartial. The new restaurant has a big open environment that makes the place more welcoming. They moved bathrooms out of the middle of the old restaurant and put in a wood-burining oven with tables surrounding the new centerpiece. The new tables are fine, but the chairs are black metallic which do nothing for the "Tuscan" feel the restaurant seems to be reaching for with the explosion of faux finishes on EVERY wall surface. It wouldn't be so jarring except some are buttery golds, then we have fake bricks with what could almost be vanilla frosting covering half of them, and then there is the unfortunate teal accent choice which seems to have been picked out by Blanche, Rose and Dorothy circa 1985. They even went with that color for the giant letters spelling out the restaurant name on one of the walls. Even though the food is more important, I think the "confused" decor should have warned me that the menu was the same way. The busser started us with warm bread (you can't go wrong with warm bread) and a honey cinnamon butter. You can go wrong with honey cinnamon butter, especially at dinner time. My partner tried it first and said... "this tastes like cinnamon" I didn't believe him and tried it myself. Yep cinnamon. The server saw our faces and came up to us and explained that this was their "thing." After we both sat there and said "really?" She offered to bring some olive oil and cheese. Thank you! We then had 1 arrocini. My partner thought it was one of the best he had ever had. I thought it was nice, We then had our salad course... the Mattone's Chopped Salad with cheeses, heart of palm, ham, salami and a huge amount of SWEET VINAIGRETTE dressing? No where on the menu was the dressing described as sweet. And not just mildly sweet, but sugary, honey sweet enough to override all the lovely meats and cheeses in the salad. The owner/manager walked over at this time and checked on us and asked about the salad and we both the shrugged and asked what was with the dressing. He agreed maybe they should list the dressing type. And I thought "yeah, so I could change to a different one." But I'm not sure I would have been allowed to change the dressings out. Why? Because when I was discussing my entree choices with the server, I originally wanted one of their wood-fired pizzas with four cheeses. I asked for this and wanted them to add a little proscuito (I of course offered to pay for the extra ingredient). The server told me that guests were allowed to take things off the pizza combinations, but were not allowed to add ingredients. SHOCKING!! So I went with a Rigatoni with sausage, mushrooms and artichokes. I asked the server if the cook could make this a little spicey. When it was brought out, there was not one red pepper flake to be seen on the plate and by the time my server came back to check on the entrees I had already had my fill. My partner had the eggplant parm and said it was nice and simple (and seemed to be on the traditional Italian side with very little cheese, versus the American version that can just be a gooey cheesey blob). The service was rough, but our server explained they were short on the floor. She was pleasant, sweet and was able to share her opinion on the food (all things I appreciate). However, (because of the server shortage) coursing of the food was really stretched out, some check-backs missed and drinks almost empty before refills were offered and then more time before they were actually filled again. I probably wouldn't go back again. While I understand a chef being true to his/her vision, I also understand that the best experience is one in which the customer can be made happy even if it takes a few minor changes. I wonder what they would do when someone walks in with specific dietary restrictions.

I had the skirt steak. Awesome. Comes with a ton of grilled veggies and some good potatoes. Everyone I was with was happy with their meals, as well. Pastas looked good and someone got a great looking Chicken Vesuvio. Affordable, at least compared to places in the city. Anyway, I really liked it. Casual and a good location if you are visiting Brookfield Zoo.

Went to Mattone's last night with a group of 8. Service was great. All of the staff were very attentive. Franco the manager went out of his way to make sure everything was to our liking. Prime rib sandwich, with the wood-fired bread was a special, along with a Gnocchi dish. They had only one Sea Bass over linguine, but they saved it for us. All of the specials were fantastic. We also had the Chicken Vesuvio and a Risotto and sausage dish which my wife just loves. The Vesuvio was the weakest of all the meals, but still was good. For dessert we had the Ogre donuts, and Franco sent over a comp Nutella pie. All to die for. Try this place, you will be delighted.

Great food, and nice authenticmodern dining room. Looked like something you'd see in the city or Oakbrook, lol. Business was somewhat slow, so we had the place to ourselves late sunday night. Server was cool and helpful I guess. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious. Pizza was excellent. Very authentic. It was a bit soupy in the middle, so for those who aren't familiar with authentic sicilian style brick oven pizza, it's supposed to be like that. Sandwich was very good too. Served on the same pizza dough. Tried it out with a groupon. Will return again.

Thank God I had a Groupon! Glorified pizza joint, families and all. How about keeping the door between the bar and the kitchen closed so us bar patrons don't have to look at the scratched up kitchen door and see into the unimpressive kitchen while we enjoy a drink. A few tweaks and it wouldn't be bad, such as table cloths and a less sloppy looking wait staff. Without the pizza they wouldn't last.

The price is high to me, but I am willign to pay if the food is worth it. the verdict is still out on this one. I didn't mind the cinnamon butter, didn't think it went well with a hard crusted bread but was still good. I think the olive oil and cheese is a little played out anyways, especially since most places don't put the best Olive Oil out for the bread. I was always pleased with almost all the dinners at D's. In fact I have been going since their original location next to Jewel. I really think the place needed the remodel, and it looks great. The service needs some help, not sure why because he seemed to be one of the waiters when it was D's. The grilled squid was rough, do not try it. The piccata was good, just seemed high for the price. A word of advice to all restaurants, especially Italian. Do not plate with large dishes if you do not plan to fill them up, even with pasta. I hate it when a dish come out and half the place is empty, get an 8 inch place and make it look over served. Also, the days of $15+ pasta dishes are over. Come on, it's pasta!

Everything was great! Pizza is as close to New York style pizza as you're going to get in Chiacgo. My daughter loved watching them make the pizza. My tilapia was awesome! Had no problem replacing pasta with risotta and it was worth the wait! Do not leave before having ogre donuts for dessert. Even if you eat just one its worth it! Overall yumminess! We will definately be back soon!

The new owners did a great job remodeling the restaurant - it looks great. The staff is friendly. We (my family) tried a few different things BUT we all agreed that the Ogre Burgers were the BEST! It is really more of a steak sandwich.

We've eaten at Mattone twice. The most recent time was great. We both ordered chicken. I had some sort of Lemon chicken and my husband had Mattone's wood oven chicken. Both of our dinners were great and pretty reasonable. I was able to take half of my portion home. I normally don't like too much food, but the leftovers were great the next day. Also, my entree came with buttery, lemony noodles which were simple, but really tasty. The first time we went I ordered a brick oven pizza and it was good, but the toppings overwhelmed the thin crust of the pizza and the pizza was a little mushy. It was like a grilled vegetable pizza and the veggies were good, just too much for the crust. We are also not fans of the sweet butter, but we asked for olive oil and they brought out olive and parmesan cheese without a problem. The olive oil seemed like nice olive oil. Anyway, we will be back. I personally like the interior, it is a little over the top, I guess, but the ceiling is really nice.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
